In the present time the repertoire of publishing
house takes in more than 100 songs, written by an author
and composer Thomas Anders.
On January, 2000 this publishing house turned
into the recording company KA.G.B. Music (don’t mix it with
Russian secret police - KGB!). This company works together
with SONY/ ATV Music Publishing (Germany) GmbH. The studio
is equipped with the most modern digital mixing console
in Germany.
KA.G.B. Music GmbH was created in collaboration
with partners – Christian
Geller, Matthias
Brückner and Guido Karp. So, here are the team
members:
Christian
Geller – a musician, composer and talented producer.
Guido Karp, an owner of "FansUNITED",
and his assistant Matthias
Brückner, who make photo shooting of well-known
artists: Backstreet Boys, AC/DC, Britney Spears and Elton
John during their world tours.
Thomas and Christian work
in studio every day. They create music sometimes on demand,
when the record-companies call them and order songs for
popular singers, and sometimes by their own producing while
working with young talents, when musicians organize casting
for young "stars" in the studio.
1. "Song on demand"
If a company asks for some special songs
of an artist, the KA.G.B. studio starts to work: Thomas
and Christian gather
the ideas and start with recording of demo-versions. When
the phonograms get ready, one of two sings the lyrics, and
then these mp3-files are sent to the manager of record-company.
The classical example of such a work is a
song "Cry
For You" for "No
Angels" and "Großer
Bruder" for Zlatko & Jürgen.
2. "New talents"
There’re castings held in studio from time
to time, where Thomas and Christian listen
to few singers. For that purpose they invite only those
who are serious and disciplined enough, and who have nice
external appearance and wonderful voice.
If Thomas’ and Christian’s
opinions concerning a contender coincide, they begin to
create songs precisely for this artist. So, it happened
with ItG!RLS.
At first these beautiful girls recorded songs on demo-CD,
and then this CD was sent to their record-company. Then
the musical company BMG in Berlin published a Summer Hit
of 2001 - "My
Heart, It Feels Like... Dub Dub".
The case with Zlatko & Jürgen had
the same success. They’ve got Platinum and three times Golden
prizes for "Großer
Bruder", written by the whole KA.G.B. studio, and
immediately gained the first grand success.
Thomas and Christian mostly
sit up at the piano, create, compose and then arrange the
whole in raw montage. They hate hearing something like "factory".
"It does not accord with creative work" -
Thomas Anders says; he’s found apparent pleasure in commercial
director’s work.

микшерским пультом в Германии

исполнителей, частично по собственной режиссуре с новыми
талантами, когда музыканты устраивают кастинг для молодых
звезд в студии
1. "Песня по заказу"
Если фирма запрашивает определенные песни
артиста, в студии KA.G.B. начинают вращаться творческие
колеса: Томас и Кристиан собирают
идеи и начинают с того, что записывают демо-версии. Когда
фонограммы готовы, один из двоих напевает текст, и затем
их отправляют в mp3 менеджеру звукозаписывающей фирмы.
Классический пример этого вида работы является
песня "Cry
For You" для "No
Angels" или "Großer
Bruder" для Zlatko & Jürgen.
2. "Новые таланты"
Временами в студии KA.G.B. проходит кастинг.
Томас и Кристиан прослушивают
несколько исполнителей. Для этого приглашаются только серьезные
и дисциплинированные артисты с хорошими внешними данными
и замечательным голосом.
Если мнения Томаса и Кристиана по поводу
претендента совпадают, они начинают сочинять песни точно
под артиста. Так произошло с ItG!RLS.
После того, как эти симпатичные девушки записали песни на
демо-CD, диски переслали соответствующей звукозаписывающей
фирме. И музыкальная фирма BMG в Берлине опубликовывала
хит лета 2001 года - "My
Heart, It Feels Like... Dub Dub".
В случае Zlatko & Jürgen все
получилось так же успешно. Платина в кармане, третье золото
за "Großer
Bruder", которую KA.G.B. написали вместе, - и сразу
первый большой успех.
Чаще всего Томас и Кристиан часами
просиживают за роялем, мастерят, пишут и затем составляют
единое целое в сыром монтаже. Слово "фабрика", им слышать
не хотелось бы.
"Это не вяжется с творческой работой" -
полагает Томас Андерс, который нашел видимое удовольствие
в работе коммерческого директора.
