Back in 1990 on his concerts Thomas Anders
used to introduce "You
Are My Life" as follows:
"Let me sing out for you a song from
a new album. It’s a ballad. And I wrote this song and produced
this song with a friend of mine. Here’s for you – "You
Are My Life"."
As per credits for the 1989 Thomas’ LP "Different" this
beautiful ballad was written by Cassandra /
Venis / Heisig / Applegate and produced by Thomas Anders & Marc
Cassandra.
Another song, also written by Chris Venis
for the "Different" LP,
was "Love
Of My Own" (Marc
Cassandra / Chris Venis / Timothy Touchton). But according
to the same year’s Taiwanese edition of the album - "Love
Of My Own" was written by Marc
Cassandra / Thomas Anders / Timothy Touchton.
In the year of 2006 see the light the DVD-collection
of Thomas Anders featuring a clip of "Love Of My Own".
The credits for that song contains the following: lyrics
by Marc
Cassandra, Thomas Anders, music by Timothy Touchton
(even though credits for 7" & 12" singles say:
music by Marc
Cassandra, Chris Venis; lyrics by Timothy Touchton).
Either it means a chain of misprints on various
releases or one more Thomas Anders’ pseudo name...
