Glenn Medeiros is a singer, who Thomas sang a duet with.

Glenn, he comes from Portugal, was born on 24 June 1970 in Lihue, the capital of Kauai, one of the Hawaiian Islands. Glenn's mother, Dorothy, noticed his good musical abilities and began to teach him singing. Young Medeiros liked this activity. When he got a bit older (at the age of 10) he started to popularize his father's business (he worked as a guide around the Isle) singing melodic songs for tourists in a bus saloon. 

At the age of 18 Glenn left school and entered the university where he met Arnold Meister. It was Meister who introduced a new pop-star to the world. His first single and the most famous hit was a cover-version of the popular song "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love" by George Benson. Due to his vocal qualities and this song Glenn became popular all over the world - from the Hawaii and America to Korea and Japan. 

At the end of 1992 Glenn Medeiros recorded the duet "Standing Alone" with Thomas Anders. The song became a hit in Germany and Austria. Moreover, a song "Standing Alone" was included in a sountracks of the American-German mini-serial "Der Ring der Musketiere" ("The Ring Of The Musketeers", RTL) and serial "Happy Holiday" (ARD).

The premiere of a clip to the new single took place on September, 29, 1992. And on September, 26 Thomas Anders and Glenn Medeiros gave joint interview in a program "P.O.P." on Tele 5 channel; in particular, they told about the history of single's creation.

- How have you got an idea to sing together?

Glenn (pointing at Thomas): Let him tell you.

Thomas: We met at a party, we were enjoying ourselves and we thought that it would be nice to record a song together. This is the story.

- What is "Standing Alone" about?

Thomas: It is about two young men who are in love with the same girl. But in the end none of them wins her love. Both think that she loves right him, but as it often happens, finally somebody else takes her away with him.

Томас: Мы встретились на вечеринке. Нам было очень весело вместе, и мы подумали, почему бы не записать вместе песню. Вот и вся история.

- О чем "Standing Alone"?

Томас: Это о двух молодых людях, которые влюблены в одну и ту же девушку. Но в конечном счете ни один из них не добивается ее любви. Каждый думает, что она любит именно его, но, как это обычно и случается, в конце концов кто-то третий уводит ее.
